A group of five Hazelbeck sixth form students and staff went on a two day residential to Kielder Water and Forest Park in the beautiful Northumbria countryside in May. Below is Asad’s report of what they did.
We went on a zip wire. We went up a steep slope which I enjoyed. Then I had to climb out of my chair to go across a stream on a zip wire, It was exciting and a little scary the first time we did it...it was more fun the second time!
On the Thursday we did archery. We used a bow and arrow. I preferred not to use a trigger but to pull the string back really hard. It was good and exciting.
In the afternoon we went to the lake to do some sailing. The best bit was when I got to steer the boat. The wind made the boat go fast. I liked it went it went fast. The best part was steering the boat. Kielder Water is exciting and they have got fun activities and everyone participates, the staff are amazing.
Overall everyone had a fantastic time and were lucky to have some lovely weather.
