At the end of term, several members of staff are leaving to take up new posts - we say goodbye and thank you to them. We also say goodbye to our leavers, who are moving on to exciting new opportunities next year. Good luck to you all!
As you know, I am retiring at the end of this term; thank you for the flowers and gifts that I have been given, and to those of you who have called in to catch up and share some memories at my lovely tea party this week. I had a great afternoon and felt very lucky to be able to share this special time with so many of you. Take a look at some photos of the afternoon at the end of this blog.
I want to say a personal thank you to everyone for making my time at Hazelbeck so wonderful. I feel very lucky to have been able to work with our fantastic students. I am proud to have worked with staff who put young people at the heart of everything they do and who have created an outstanding learning environment. I will miss the hustle and bustle of school life - Hazelbeck is the best school I have ever worked in and it has been a joy to be part of this very special community.
I know that the school has an exciting year ahead and will continue to grow and develop under the leadership of the new Head, Beth McPhail. I wish the whole school community the very best for the future.
