Welcome Back

I hope you have all had a fantastic summer.

Firstly, a huge welcome back to all our students.  It is great to see the school full of the energy and enthusiasm that our students bring.  It is lovely to see and get to know our new students better.  For many of our students there are changes and some find this difficult, but we know that before long everyone will be settled into their new classes, routines and enjoying their school life.

We had real success for our leavers at the end of last year with all of them leaving with three or more pieces of accreditation.  For all our students we saw many successes; the organisation of the sixth form prom, increased confidence and ability to manage and lead both themselves and others, increased independence and a love of learning which was demonstrated through the progress they made.

We are looking forward to the coming year.  We want to continue to support our students to get the very best outcomes they are able to.  We work towards them being confident and independent young people who are ready for the next stages of their lives. We do this by encouraging them to do as much as they can for themselves, to be resilient and to believe in themselves.  We look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the coming year, what they will teach us as well as what we can help them to learn.

For me this is a very exciting time, I am delighted to be taking on the role as Head of School.  As Deputy Head of the school, I have always been immensely proud of the students and staff team at Hazelbeck and all that we achieve as a team.  As a school we are passionate about ensuring that your son or daughter have the very best experience possible at school, that they are eager and happy to come to school.  We know that we only get one chance at giving them a great education and will do everything we can to make sure we get this right. I am determined that, with your support, this continues. I look forward to working with you.  Please contact me at any time should you need to.

Beth
