Students from Orange and Bronze Bases recently visited Eureka children’s museum in Halifax as part of their work on money skills. The first thing they did was visit the 'Halifax Bank' to draw money out and then they went into the 'Marks and Spencer' to spend it! They took on various roles such as bankers, cashiers and shop assistants. There were a lot of opportunities for number/coin recognition and addition as well as practising using an ATM and going through the sequence of a transaction. After lunch, the students explored other areas of Eureka to learn and discover through play.
