Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Enterprise

At the end of last half term Bronze Base were invited to set up their stall at Eldwick Village Hall again to sell theirenterprise products including pendants and bracelets.

The students raised £45 which they plan to put towards a residential visit and thoroughly enjoyed the morning.

In December 2019 Bronze Base followed up the success of their stall in Keighley in November by taking their Enterprise sale to Eldwick Village Hall last week. The students each took on different enterprise jobs including sales, marketing and display and were welcomed by visitors to the café at Eldwick Church village community centre. Students sold muffins and pieces of their artwork and made £42 profit in an hour and a half! They plan to use the money to fund a well-deserved end of term trip/Christmas lunch out at Asda café in Keighley.
The artwork was very well received and Hazelbeck School is welcome to return to sell products at the venue on future occasions. A valuable community link was forged which includes possibilities for work experience in the future, we are very grateful to everyone involved.

In November 2019 Bronze Base had a very successful trip to Keighley to sell their artwork for enterprise at an island stall in the Keighley Arndale Centre - they sold 40 items of art and made £65. Members of the public were very generous and the students used excellent communication and organisational skills and enjoyed being out in the community.
Our thanks to the staff at the Centre for being so welcoming and supportive.
