Cartwright Hall
Yellow Base visited Cartwright Hall in Bradford at the end of April. The visit was an important link the students needed to make for their Arts Explore Award. They were able to look at some works by the artist Andy Warhol and found and read about his portrait of Marylin Monroe and one of his famous Campbellās Soup prints. The students were really interested in the photography of Tim Smith - they explored an interactive section of the museum which displayed a vast array of pictures and information posters about the Caribbean Culture and how it had changed over time. Cartwright Hall is a fantastic place to discover art pieces old and new, the gardens are beautiful and the whole area is well worth a visit. Our Yellow Base students thoroughly enjoyed their outing.
