We recently had the pleasure of welcoming around 80 members of the All Together Now Community Choir into school. The Choir is a Charitable Trust and old friend of Hazelbeck, having come in once before to sing for and with our special students during the winter term. Students across school practice the songs that the choir present, taking part at their own ability level, be it signing the actions or singing and signing the songs with great skill. It was a while since we had all been together and both the choir members and our staff were overcome with emotion when some of our wonderful students stood at the front to sing and sign some beautiful songs, and poignant verses. It was beautiful to watch. Students also got up to dance spontaneously guided by the rhythms as the Tina Turner medley began, they really enjoyed themselves.
We are looking forward to this brilliant Choir returning in December to welcome in the Christmas season, we can't wait!
