Dear Parents and Carers
We would like to take the opportunity to inform our parents of current and new students, of some exciting news!
Due to increasing need for places, over the summer, we are having some major alterations and building works undertaken to create three new classrooms to welcome our new Year 7s into our Hazelbeck family, there will be thirty additional children on site. This means that the site will be closed to everyone other than site workers for health safety reasons. This, however, will impact on students return to school dates for the new academic year to support a safe and ready school environment for your child.
The revised closed to student dates due to health and safety are as follows:
· Tuesday 1st September – Statutory INSET for staff
· Wednesday 2nd September – Statutory INSET for staff
· Thursday 3rd September – Fixtures and Fittings
· Friday 4th September – Fixtures and Fittings, environment preparation and cleaning
As you may be aware, our numbers of new starters are significant this academic year, and as such, a careful transition to support safe access for your child must be in place.
· Monday 7th September 2026 – Year 7 students only
· Tuesday 8th September 2026 – School re-opens fully to all students
We apologise for any disruption to plans this may cause, and rest assured these decisions are not taken lightly, the changes are imperative to the safety of our students.
Increased numbers on roll will have an impact on the beginning and the end of the day drop off and collection. Further details about this will follow.
