Students at Hazelbeck have been taking part in Safer Internet Day which is an international event held every year to highlight the need to keep ourselves safe online. Our bases have taken part in a range of activities which have included creating posters for the classrooms and writing stories. Bases have got together to share what they have done and have been spreading clear messages about why they should use a password, the information they should and not share as well as how to be kind online.
It would be great for you to talk to your young person about what they have been doing as it is so important that the Safe Use of Internet skills is being regularly reinforced at home as well as at school. If you would like some more information on eSafety then please visit our Online Safety page. There will also be a talk, aimed at supporting parents and carers to keep young people safe online, by a specialist police officer as part of our parents' coffee morning on 30 April.
