It is always a great pleasure to welcome new artists in to Hazelbeck School - our students thrive through engaging with creative activities.

Developing good listening skills for musical sounds and participation in the practical use of musical instruments is something our students positively respond to time and time again. This was the case when Diego and Katia, a drumming duo, came in to head a workshop and a small concert for us recently. The students only had a very short time to pratice on their
instruments but were able to perform to the rest of the school with enthusiasm and independence. Once the concert had
finished all our students were invited to play the instruments freely which was a great opportunity for them all to take part at their own level. A truly fantastic afternoon, thank you Diego and Katia for engaging our pupils so well
