Visit to St Ives

Last week Yellow Base enjoyed an out of school trip to St Ives Estate on the outskirts of Bingley. The Estate, which covers 550 acres of land in total, includes a beautiful pond, a variety of birds, trees and other plant species, a woodland and a well-equipped playground. The students walked to a bus stop in Bingley town centre from school and then boarded a bus up to the Estate.

They spent a full day enjoying their surroundings and playing in the playground and had a picnic lunch with sandwiches they had prepared themselves the previous day. Some of them had never visited St Ives before and were really happy to be there. Others built up the courage to have rides both on the zip wire and the wheel swing and thoroughly enjoyed it, the weather was kind to us and we all had a perfect day.
