Student Council

Our newly elected Hazelbeck Student Council recently held its first meeting, bringing together enthusiastic representatives from across the school. During this initial session, students explored the important role the council plays in supporting both the school community and the wider environment.
The group discussed the different types of work the Council is responsible for, including representing student voices, helping to improve school life, and organising events. A key focus of the meeting was thinking about ways to support others within the school.
Students also began sharing creative fundraising ideas, showing great initiative and teamwork. There was a real sense of excitement as everyone contributed suggestions and started shaping plans for the months ahead.
A special highlight of the meeting was when council members received their official Student Council lanyards. The students were excited and proud to wear them, recognising the lanyards as a symbol of their new responsibilities and their important role within the school.
The Council will be meeting again in a few weeks to finalise some of these ideas and begin putting them into action. There are plenty of exciting projects on the horizon, and we look forward to sharing more updates soon – so watch this space!
