School Consultation

Beckfoot Hazelbeck is part of the Beckfoot Trust and is a school for students with special educational needs aged 11-19.

Bradford has experienced a significant increase in the number of children and young people with EHCPs requiring specialist provision. In order to ensure that they are able to have their complex needs fully met and receive the specialist support that is required for them to thrive, additional specialist places are required across the Bradford District.  It is projected that demand for specialist places will continue to grow across all sectors

The proposal is to increase the number of places at Hazelbeck School from 144 to 194, an increase of 50 places. This proposal will be delivered by the Local Authority with additional accommodation being created by remodelling areas within the Beckfoot Hazelbeck school site to accommodate the further 50 students.

As part of this process, the proposal will be going to public consultation, this period will last from 22 June 2026 – 10 July 2026.

We will be holding a consultation drop-in meeting at Beckfoot Hazelbeck on Tuesday 23rd June at 5.00-6.00pm. This is an opportunity for us to share our plans and address any of your concerns.
