National Fitness Day/Week

Keeping Active and Learning About Healthy Lifestyles

Our students have been exploring the importance of staying active and making healthy choices as part of their learning about health and wellbeing. Some students learned about the Healthy Eating Plate, discussing how nutritious foods and regular exercise help keep our bodies healthy and strong. They also explored the positive impact that physical activity has on both our physical and mental wellbeing.
Across the school, classes took part in fitness and workout routines, including stretching, dancing, movement activities, and breathing exercises. These activities helped students develop healthy habits while supporting their wellbeing. Some students enjoyed more challenging physical activities, including a visit to Beckfoot gym, and they also completed a walk to Bingley and back.
In PE lessons, many classes participated in sensory circuits and dancing activities, building their coordination, confidence, and enjoyment of movement.
It has been fantastic to see students embracing active lifestyles and learning how exercise can contribute to a happy, healthy, and balanced life.
