Celebrating Songkran
Students in KS3 and KS4 learnt about and celebrated Songkran - the Thai New Year and water festival.
They did this by undertaking a carousel of exciting activities all related to the Thai celebration. Some of which included: Buddha statue making, marble ink, cooking a variety of Thai cuisine, water gun painting and using foot spas.
Students then all came together to take part in a huge water fight, following Thai tradition. There were so many excited and happy faces. Students especially enjoyed wetting the staff! When everyone had dried off, we all came back together to enjoy a delicious Thai banquet, of the foods that were prepared by students earlier that day. A fun day was had by all!
