Duke of Edinburgh Award
We recently had the practice expedition for this year's Duke of Edinburgh cohort. There were 15 students altogether - eight students taking part in the Bronze award and seven taking part in Silver award.
We walked from school up through Cottingley Woods and into Blackhills Campsite. We enjoyed exploring the woods and the campsite. We challenged each other to complete the obstacle course the quickest, climbed trees, went on bug hunts and country walks. We set the tents up and cooked our own food on our portable stoves. When night time came, we lit the fire and had hot chocolate before bed, the next day we packed up the camp and walked back to school.
