Learning Goalball
Hazelbeck students have been having fun being taught the sport of Goalball* by Beckfoot students! Beckfoot's Disability Awareness Group and Sports Council are running a campus Goalball competition this week and Hazelbeck are really looking forward to taking part.
* Goalball: a team sport originally developed for blind or visually impaired players, in which a ball containing bells which make a sound when in motion is thrown at a goal at the opposing team's end of the court (sighted people play blindfold!). Watch out for it at the Tokyo Paralympics this summer.
