Liverpool Residential

Silver Base students enjoyed a 2-night residential to Liverpool earlier this month. Among the highlights of their trip were visits to the Tate Gallery, Museum of Liverpool, Anglican Cathedral and Sir Antony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ sculptures at Crosby Beach.

Students Siayam, Abigail, Naila and Faiza have written about their experiences:
‘On Monday 8th May  Silver Base went to Liverpool for a two night residential. Silver Base stayed at a youth hostel and went to the beach, there were a lot of rocks. Then on Thursday Silver Base went to a museum to see some art work The art work looked amazing but the weather was a bit dull and raining. Then on Friday Silver Base went to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral after that Silver Base came back to school.’

‘We stayed in a youth hostel near the Albert Docks, this meant we could walk to the Tate Gallery and the Museum, my favourite was the Tate Gallery as I like looking at painting. I liked visiting the Anglican Cathedral, it very big inside and lots of stained glass windows.’

‘We went to the beach on Wednesday, two museums and Pizza Express on Thursday and cathedral on Friday. The weather was raining and sometime dry. I enjoyed going to Pizza Express and I liked the chicken pizza.’

‘We went to Museum of Liverpool and we went to Tate museum. I went to the art gallery. We went to look at some shops in Liverpool and I went to Pizza Express, I had spicy margarita chicken pizza. It was wet on that day. I went to the café. On third day I went to the Cathedral it’s a big huge church there’s a shop over there as well.’
