Paris
Hazelbeck's first international adventure!
Before the half term, a group of Hazelbeck students set out for their first overseas residential to Paris. It was an early start, as students arrived at school from 3am to begin their journey to Manchester Airport. For some of our students, this was their first experience of a flight! On the first day, they explored the city of Paris, on foot, covering a total of 11 miles. They had the opportunity to see famous landmarks, including: The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and The Louvre, and learnt a little bit about French culture. The day ended with a relaxing Seine river cruise.
On the second day, students were awake early and excited to visit Disneyland Paris and experienced different modes of transport en route. A fun-filled day was had by all, meeting Mickey Mouse and Pluto and going on lots of exciting rides. The evening finished with magical illuminations and a spectacular firework display surrounding the Disney Cinderella Castle. On the third day, students visited the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, before travelling back home.
Everyone involved thought the trip was extremely special.
Our students were fantastic role models when representing the school and relationships between all blossomed.
