In November Yellow Base students visited Regency Hall in Bradford which is being used as a fantastic venue to showcase the digitally projected artworks of Vincent Van Gogh. The Van Gogh Alive show has been very successful across the UK. The huge moving images are set to move in conjunction with some very famous music pieces and retell the life of the famous artist in a very artistic format. The huge panels also tell the story of his life in text form and some of our students were able to read about him as well as being immersed in this multisensory experience; it was truly an amazing show. The students have been learning about the artist in class and were able to recognise ‘The Starry Night’ painting as it slowly came in to view over the panels. Students also made important links to the Arts Explore topics which they are focusing on in Art.

The trip ended with a quick visit to the Broadway Shopping Centre and lunch at Burger King which the students thoroughly enjoyed! Well done to all the students who always interact positively whilst out in the community.
